Technology and infrastructure

In order to provide the most reliable service Bloomland has its own hosting facilities, hardware and equipment, direct enterprise-level support from vendors and manufacturers, communication and integration providers.

The system architecture was built with the primary concept - no single point of failure. Each device has its twin, each piece of data are duplicated and backed-up multiple times locally and remotely. All the systems and applications are monitored inside and outside with automatic switch. All the network equipment and servers have dual power and dual network connections and are replaceable without interrupting the service. Each device is very specialized and protected from non-authorized actions or malfunctioning.

Independent power supplies provide for at least 24 hours running without external power plus diesel-generator to keep systems running for longer period. The premises have internal climate control, ventilation and independent air-conditioning, and non-water fire protection (to avoid damage of electronic devices in case of fire).

The facilities are complaint with top industry requirements and have all levels of security - physical, system and applications. The location has very strict access by authorized personnel only. There are system engineers "on duty" 24/7 inside the building and automatic notification to remote staff.

Traffic is managed by redundant load balancers which have build-in health check on every connected device. Network routers have build-in traffic control to lock suspicious activity before it reaches servers. Mail servers have the most powerful spam control and live virus scanning. All publicly available servers are isolated from databases and redundant expandable network-attached file storage. All web-servers are combined in symmetrical pools and all websites are evenly balanced according traffic and number of simultaneous requests. Current infrastructure is capable to provide service up to 20,000,000 online visitors a day.

This model is quite different from traditional 'dedicated' or 'shared' servers - it's 'shared data centers', because the whole infrastructure supports every client and self-adjusted for his needs. This model is closer to 'cloud-computing', when the system provides the service dynamically according requests.
